WEST MICHIGAN – (FOX 17)—

After very mild conditions on Sunday, November 11, 2012, it was a reality check on Monday. Wind chills dropped to near 20°, which meant it felt 50° colder than the previous day, when temperatures hit 70° in many West Michigan locations.

Lake-Enhanced Snows
The cold air blowing across the relatively warm Lake Michigan waters, coupled with a disturbance, resulted in some snow showers Monday evening. Accumulations were expected to be no more than an inch or two. Still, there could be some slick spots and some of the roads. For the latest radar image, check our weather section.
