Woman Thrown From SUV, Vehicle In Question Recovered

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –

Grand Rapids Police said they’ve recovered the dark green Jeep involved in a Saturday incident where a woman was thrown from an SUV.

The woman was rushed to an area hospital..

Grand Rapids Police said it happened around 5:30 p.m. Saturday near Eastern Avenue and Merritt Street.

After being thrown from the vehicle, the victim was run over by the back wheels.

The victim suffered a head injury, a collapsed lung, and other possible life-threatening injuries, police added.

The driver fled the scene, and the vehicle was later recovered.

On Sunday, police said they’ve made no arrests but are looking into a person of interest.
