HUDSONVILLE, Mich., — Students at Unity Christian High School are working to raise awareness on teen suicide through a Cupcake Wars competition and sale Friday after eight girls lost their friend to suicide.
Hundred of students entered 3,800 cupcakes in the competition. Participants can win prizes in five categories:
- General
- School Spirit
- Christmas
- Adult (parent)
- Display
Each category has a first, second, and third prize, and an overall student winner will receive an Apple iPad as a grand prize.
Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services donated the iPad, and students who buy six cupcakes or more will be entered in a drawing for a Kindle Fire.
Local chefs are among 12 judges who selected the winners, and an announcement will be made in the afternoon.
All proceeds from the sale will go toward the Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan.

I think this is a good method to give information about suicide..This competition is also healthy competition for teenagers. If I will get chance to promote this kind of awareness then definitely, I will do it.
