GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.– A woman gave birth to the first Grand Rapids baby born on the historic day of Dec. 12, 2012.
Kaycie Tolar and Sean Auch, both of Grand Rapids, met their baby for the first time at St. Mary’s. Dallas Auch is Grand Rapids first baby born on Wednesday. He came into the world at 4:46 a.m.
The newborn measured 19-inches tall and weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces.
Baby Auch was born four days late and it just so happened he come into the world naturally on the historic day.

that’s not true. My friend had her baby at metro today at 4:32am. Her baby girl was born first.
