AMHERST, NY — A nationally distributed snack has been recalled because the product may contain peanut material but the label doesn’t say anything about it.

which produces Sunbird Snacks Yogurt Raisins were recalled Monday, said its maker, Mister Snacks, Inc., based in Amherst, NY.

The company’s website does mention the possibility of peanut content, which many people are allergic to.

“The product comes in a 5 oz. clear bag marked with a lot number and expiration date of “EXP 0513 265″ ink-stamped on the back of the package,” said a notice posted by the Food and Drug Administration.
