GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The bell keeps ringing for Hudsonville native Jordan Shimmell.
Shimmell is set to take on Lance Gauch on Friday, December 21 at the Grand Plaza Hotel Ballroom in dowtown Toledo, Ohio in his seventh career professional boxing match. Shimmell is 6-0 with 6 KO’s.
Three weeks later, Shimmell will be a part of the main event at the Orbit Room in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Saturday, January 12. Shimmell is scheduled to face Jackie “Black Jack” Beard in the 10 round main event for the West Michigan Heavyweight title.
A big reason why Shimmell is able to take on so many fights in such a short amount of time is because he doesn’t spend too much time in the fight. All six of Shimmell’s bouts have not lasted past two rounds. One fight was stopped in the first round.
