GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cirque De Noel’s opening night was Tuesday at DeVos Performance Hall.

The show combines the Grand Rapids Symphony with world-class acrobat acts.

Cirque de la Symphonie travels around the world and changes each show to match the mood of the music.

“There’s nothing better than performing to live music and entire symphony orchestra,” said featured performer Christine Van Loo. “The music is gorgeous. You really feel it lifting you when you’re doing an aerial act.”

The troupe said the show is great for all ages and includes acrobats and jugglers while holiday music fills the theater.

FOX 17′s Courtney Perna, who was once an aerial acrobat, got a behind-the-scenes look at the final rehearsal and worked out with Cirque de la Symphonie. She proved that while it may look effortless, it’s not easy.

Tickets for Cirque De Noel are still available. Prices start at $34.

The show runs Tuesday-Thursday, starting at 7:30 p.m.
