GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Christmas trees can be saved from the trash by dropping them off at several city parks.
The trees can be recycled by taking them to Riverside Park, MacKay Jaycees Family Park, Lincoln Park, or Huff Park.
It is free of charge, however the trees must be stripped of all decorations.
The trees may also be recycled by placing a city bulk yard waste tag on them and putting them out with the trash on the regular pick up day. It cost $1.50 for the tag. If a tag is not on the tree, it won’t be picked up.

Where do you purchase the tags indicating bulk yard waste?
