Identities Released In Deadly Accident

OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. – The two people who were killed and the other who was injured in Monday nights accident have been identified.

The driver of a pickup truck who police said ran a stop sign, crashing into a minivan and causing the accident, was Edward Bylsma, 84, of Coopersville. He was ejected from the vehicle and died from his injuries.

Bylsma’s wife, Elizabeth Bylsma, 81, was transported to Spectrum. She was listed in critical condition last night, but has since been upgraded to serious.

Steve Robin, 45, of Conklin was the driver of the minivan. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident happened at about 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 31, at 16th Avenue and Arthur Street in Wright Township.

Police are still investigating if alcohol was a factor.

    Double check your details. I thought Steve was driving the mini van.

    You are right the pick up blew the light. It was his mini-van.
