GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — A warming trend is in the forecast this week, but it will still feel chilly during the day Monday.  That’s because winds will pick up out of the south-southwest and gust as high as 40 miles per hour in the afternoon.

As a result, air temperatures in the mid- to upper-30s will feel more like the 20s once you factor in the wind chill.

A Wind Advisory was posted by the National Weather Service through the early evening Monday along the lakeshore, where wind gusts will be at their strongest.

Sunshine will make it seem more pleasant, though, as skies are expected to remain partly cloudy over the next couple of days.

Temperatures will continue to warm through the 40s by the end of the week, with rain rather than snow in the forecast.

You can check it out for yourself on the Weather page.
