Lowell Teen Goes Missing

LOWELL, Mich. – A teen from Lowell has been reported missing.

Officials tell FOX 17 News that Ashley Worthington, 17, left her mother’s house on Jan. 3 to go to the store.  The girl went missing for two days, but returned on Jan. 5. On the same day, her and a friend met with two men. The men asked if the girls wanted to go with them to Grand Rapids. Worthington went with them, but her friend stayed behind.

Worthington was last seen that night heading west on Fulton Street, leaving the Admiral gas station at about 7:20.

She was driving away with the men in a newer Ford Mustang. The vehicle is yellow with a black stripe down the lower side.

Worthington has blond hair, blue eyes and stands approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall. She was last seen wearing black sweatpants and a green shirt, under a red sweatshirt. She was also wearing black and purple Nike shoes. She was carrying a large black purse with the letters “CC” on the side.

The men she was driving away with were described as being in their early 20s.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Kent County Sheriff’s Department at 632-6100 or Silent Observer at 774-2345.

People are so harsh. I hope the majority of people reading this article take into consideration that maybe her family might be reading this too. Sickens me how people just let their opinions over run the seriousness of someone's situation. Lack of consideration at its best.

Really? A. Who cares if it's not "grammatically correct" – do you not have anything better to do? And B. Nice comment Jocelyn! You must be a psychic. I agree with Nicky, the family of this poor girl here in Lowell, where I live mind you, could be reading this. Our community is tight knit and we are worried about Ashley. Seriously? Get a grip – if this were your child, or sister, or grandchild or cousin would these comments help you to cope?
