
KENTWOOD, Mich. – Police have identified the person of interest in connection to the Bouwman murders.
On Thursday, Kentwood police issued a warrant to search a home located at 2389 Vicksburg Court in Kentwood. Inside, officials were hoping to find Javonte Jerome Higgins, 22. However, their search came up empty.
According to Kentwood Police Chief Tom Hillen, Higgins has numerous felony warrants out for his arrest.
The warrants include home invasion and auto theft.
Investigators are trying to speak with Higgins due to his close proximity to the Bouwman homicide scene.
Police told FOX 17 News that the suspect’s family is cooperating.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Kentwood Police Department at616- 698-6580 or Silent Observer at 616-774-2345.
A reward is being offered to anyone who gives information leading to an arrest.

anyone comitting homicide should get life even people who drive drunk and kill other people should be put away. a child was hit by a car yesterday by an idiot who didnt want to wait for the schoolbus to pull off. that person will most likely get a ticket and probation… wake up kids
