West Michigan School Ranks High For Academic Achievement

GRAND HAVEN, Mich.– A West Michigan school has placed in the top ten percent of all Michigan school districts.

Bridge Magazine named Grand Haven Public Schools an academic state champion.

“This recognition reaffirms our dedication to exceptional education, as well as the exceptional performance of our students, teachers and building administrators,” GHAPS Superintendent Keith Konarska said.

The study used a ranking system that measures a school’s test scores adjusted for student family income, which the magazine said is often a predictor of academic achievement.
