GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.– The 6-year-old who was struck by a vehicle on Thursday died at the hospital Friday morning.
George Albert Garcia was brought to Spectrum Hospital after he was hit by a truck on Bristol Avenue NW.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 56-year-old man from Grand Rapids, was traveling north on Bristol when the child ran out in front of him.
Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in this case.
