DETROIT, Mich- A group of homeless men and women have found they can overcome hardship and even homelessness through the power of song.
Like thousands of people in the city, the members of the Homeless Choir are forced to live on the streets, in vacant buildings, and wherever else they can escape the cold winter temperatures. Members of the group perform at different venues to help raise money to feed the hungry, to help run their choir center, and to find a place to live.
Now, the choir is raising money for a trip to the nation’s capitol. They’ve been asked to perform at several inauguration events and there’s a chance they could perform for the president himself.
“It would be the greatest feeling in the world to be able to sing for the president,” says Ralph Duncans. “I know that I’ve changed. My life is better than what it was.”
If you’d like to donate to the cause, you can contact the homeless choir at (313) 995-2451. You can also visit their facebook page.

how many of these wonderful voices are homeless due to foreclosure fraud? THAT is a good story to add to the trip! What a story under the circumstances these people have risen from the ashes! Thank you.
