
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – I-196 is backed up for miles.
Both lanes are closed on westbound I-196.
It is reported that a semi is in the middle of the street right before Market Avenue on I-196. The truck is still in the road from an accident that happened early Monday morning.
FOX 17 News is told the highway is also backed up at the interchange of I-196 and US-131.
Crews are on the scene trying to remove the truck.

I-96 and I-196 are two different freeways.

Market exit is at 1-96 (past Lake Michigan Dr.). They are correct.

A Co-worker said that she was able to get on at Market and it was fine after that. I don't know if it was just because it was past the accident or if they have the truck out of the way now.

Market is off of 196…96& 196 split just west of East Beltline
