GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – One person is in police custody and another is dead after police executed a search warrant in Grand Rapids Monday.
The Grand Rapids Police Department was investigating a robbery that occurred on Jan. 14, 2013.
Police took one person into custody at the 7-11 store located at 1349 Alpine Avenue.
The suspect was in possession of property stolen from the robbery.
Police searched for a second suspect at a home located at 1338 Alpine Avenue NW.
The suspect refused to come out of the home. Police issued a search warrant and upon entry to the home, the second suspect was found dead from a a self inflicted gunshot wound.

Although i very sadly agree with all said here – it is still very sad that some poor dude felt he had to put a bullet in his head rather than be arrested for some trivial robbery!?!? Cannot IMAGINE what the heck was going on inside his own mind. THAT is disheartening by itself.
