LOWELL, Mich. – A man was tased Friday night after police responded to a domestic violence call from a child in Lowell.

The incident happened at the 200 block of Maple.

When police arrived to the home, the suspect, John Lee Crider, 25, had fled.

Officials were able to track Crider through the snow. They found him hiding behind a vehicle just a few blocks away from the home. When police ordered him out from behind the vehicle, Crider fled for the second time. Officials were able to catch up with the suspect, where they were forced to use a taser device, after the man allegedly put up a fight.

Crider was arrested for felony domestic violence, interfering with a telecommunications device and resisting and obstructing police.

Crider is being held at the Kent County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
