A Elementary School Custodian Has Been Arrested On Seven Counts Of Child Pornography

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A 54-year-old Kalamazoo man was arraigned this afternoon on a seven count Child Pornography warrant.

Steven Michael McAllister  was arraigned this afternoon on warrants for Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material and one count of Using a Computer to Commit a Crime.

McAllister is being held in the Kalamazoo County Jail on a $500,000 bond.

Mr. McAllister has been employed as a custodian at Edison Elementary School in Kalamazoo for approximately the past twenty years.  At this time, the investigation has revealed no indication of any victims from Kalamazoo Public Schools

    the guy is into CHILD pornography! are you suggesting children as prostitutes? besides, "illegal" prostitution is easy to get around. so is internet porn, which feeds sickness. simple as that.

    I know Steven, and I have worked with him for many years. This is a shock to me, I never would have thought of him in this light. He is a very kind person, intelligent, and very hard working. He has helped the school in so many ways and he has done more then his job requires him to.

    Now I'm not saying that what he may have done wasn't wrong, but I read comments that say he should be punished to death for it. That is unspeakable. If he did something wrong then he should be punished, but he is still a human being and should be treated as such.

    I think it's horrible and wrong, but I still respect the man for everything he has done for me.
