GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Van Andel Institute will host a two day educational event that focuses on teaching people about cancer.
The event is called Help on the Hill and it is open to the public, medical professionals and researchers. In addition, it is meant to provide resources for cancer patients and their families.
Educational sessions will cover topics like the newest anti-cancer drugs, the link between stem cells and cancer and what exactly chemotherapy does. Those who attend can also have one on one sessions with a physician.
The event is scheduled for Feb. 8 from 4:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Feb. 9 from 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., and those who wish to attend can register for free at the Van Andel Institute’s website.
