Fire Destroys Bowling Center’s Kitchen
HOLLAND, Mich. — Fire destroyed the kitchen at the Century Lanes Tuesday morning.
The call to 435 Century Lane was sent out around 9:15 a.m. When crews first arrived, they saw smoke coming from the roof. They broke down the glass entrance door to get in and found the fire in the kitchen, which took 15 minutes to get it under control.
The kitchen was destroyed, said the owner. She would not say when the place would reopen, but the place has bowling leagues every day and every night.
Sprinklers went off in the kitchen but not the rest of the building, which suffered some smoke damage and a little water damage.
There was no apparent damage to the outside of the building.
