FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The funeral for a Kalamazoo College student who passed away on Sunday was held Tuesday morning.

Emily Stillman, 19, was taken to Bronson Hospital Friday where she later died of complications due to meningitis.

Her funeral was held at Dorfman Chapel in Farmington Hills. Kalamazoo College extended their condolences by transporting approximately 40 students, faculty and staff to the service.

A fund has been set up in Stillman’s memory to aid in the research and treatment of bacterial meningitis.

Donations can be sent to Temple Shir Shalom, located at 3999 Walnut Lake Road, West Bloomfield, MI 48323.

The temple will hold the donations until the fund is established.
