WRIGHT TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A Coopersville museum train derailed Saturday afternoon in Ottawa County.
At 12:45 p.m. Saturday, snow on the tracks caused the Coopersville & Marne Railway train — which gives rides to tourists and features Easter Bunny and Santa Claus excursions during holidays — to derail near Eighth Avenue and Comstock Street between Coopersville and Marne.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office was on the scene until crews finally returned the train to the tracks at 3:11 p.m. Saturday.
There were no injuries.
