GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Lingering ice and snow on secondary roads will still cause issues for some drivers Tuesday, but conditions will gradually improve around West Michigan over the next couple of days.

The day planner above shows some flurries hanging around early in the morning, but those should end before midday.  Skies will remain mostly cloudy for the remainder of the day.

Still, many county roads will be very slippery as falling temperatures allowed ice to form Monday and Monday night.  Those issues caused many schools to close again Tuesday morning.

Temperatures will hold in the upper 20s and lower 30s throughout the day, so that will help melt a little of the ice and snow on the road surfaces, but some refreezing is possible Tuesday night once again.

Wednesday will see even more improvement as sunshine returns with highs approaching 40°.

Colder air and more snow is likely to end the week; you can check out the rest of the 7 Day Forecast on the Weather page, or on FOX 17 Morning News until 9:00 A.M.
