VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. –Three men were arrested on Wednesday for growing marijuana inside of a pole barn in Van Buren County.
Police received a tip sending them to a barn located in the 76000 block of 48th Avenue, according to a news release from the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department.
After speaking with one of the suspects, officials were able to obtain a search warrant.
Documents show that once inside the barn, detectives discovered it was being remodeled. Several rooms were in the process of being built. Two of which contained marijuana grow operations.
A total of 27 plants were seized, along with $800 and a 2004 Mercedes Benz van.
Two of the men arrested are from South Haven. The other suspect is from Coloma, Mich.

Really, they were growing pot? Big deal. Maybe they were growing it for someone with a medical marijuana card. I don’t smoke pot, but i don’t think that its a big deal by any means. They should just legalize it, that easy it doesn’t get the same stigma a narcotics or meth, coke, heroin ect. They should concentrate on stopping the real drugs, the ones that ruin lives and families!

Not impressed. Actually pissed off that the stupid police keep wasting tax money on this. And the person who "tipped" them off deserves a punch to the throat.

WOW! A whopping 27 plants and 800 bucks! You MI residents must sleep a lot better knowing your kids wont be smoking any marijuana, this week! Instead they will just be trading prescription amphetamines and tranquilizers with their lunch money. We have legal prescription drugs that if you take them more than a week you are dependent, accidentally eat two instead of the recommended one and die, and we have police wasting time and money removing effective and safe medicine off the streets. Way to go public servants! Stop outlawing nature, and start awakening to the healing powers of mother earth. . .
