OSHTEMO TWP, Mich. – Police officers with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety say a 34-year-old man was in possession of a “one pot” methamphetamine lab concealed in his coat, in a bust that resulted in two children being removed from a residence.

It happened Thursday afternoon at a home on Coddington Lane in Oshtemo Township.  Officers from the Community Outreach Problem Solving Division (C.O.P.S.) executed a search warrant, and located a suspect from Kalamazoo who was leaving the residence.  Police say he had that mobile meth lab, finished methamphetamine, marijuana, and a digital scale.  A search of his vehicle revealed more meth components.

Once inside the residence, officers located a 32-year-old woman and her two children.  During the search of the home, investigators found more methamphetamine, packaging equipment, and other drug paraphernalia.

The man was arrested on multiple drug charges and awaits arraignment.  The woman will be facing meth-related charges in the near future as well.  The two children were removed from the home by Child Protective Services.
