CNN-Not even 24 hours after reaching land, a passenger on this week’s infamously crippled Carnival cruise in the Gulf of Mexico has filed a lawsuit.
Passenger Terry Cassie has filed a lawsuit against Carnival in U.S. District Court in the Southern District of Florida. The suit describes Carnival’s Triumph cruise ship as a “floating hell.”
The Triumph was towed into port in Alabama late Thursday night, five days after it lost power in a engine-room fire. More than 3,000 passengers and 1,000 crew members lived in squalid conditions after the outage, with overflowing commodes splashing floors with waste as the ship listed, passengers reported.

Spoiled little lawsuit seekers. Carnival offered another free cruise and $500, poor baby, that wasn't enough. Think of the homeless starving people in the world, and this person is suing over a cruise.

They should get more than another cruse. They paid for this one (they never got) so another cruse isn't making it right. And neither is 500.00 Is that per person or per party? only 100.00 bucks a day to suffer like that? with all the planning and prep to go on a cruse – many people only get so much vacation time. And may not get another chance to go for another year. I think that needs more than another cruse and 500 bucks. And really suing is the only way to make Carnival pay up.

I agree with you. For a lot of people, a cruise is a once in a life time dream. A lot of people have to work and save up for what, to walk around in feces and worry about their children living with germs and ewe stuff I can't imagine. I'll bet a lot of these folks lost time from work. Someone is suing Carnival, wow, what a shock.
