HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. — Troubled country music star Mindy McCready is dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Waren Olmstead, the coroner in Cleburne County, Ark., says McCready died Sunday.
McCready, 37, hit the top of the country charts in the mid 1990s, but personal problems began to derail her career beginning in 2004, including a custody battle with her mother over one of her sons.
Just a month ago, her boyfriend — record producer David Wilson — was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
She also made headlines in recent years for an affair with Roger Clemens, erratic behavior, and drug problems.
McCready leaves behind two boys.

OMG, those poor little boys. I hope she left a sane family member behind to raise them. Just goes to show that money and fame doesn't always bring happiness.
