ILLINOIS– An extradition hearing is scheduled Wednesday for the suspect in the murder of an elderly couple in Kentwood.
Javonte Higgins, 22, remains in a jail in Illinois where he’s being held without bond.
Higgins was picked up near Chicago a few weeks after the January 5 murders of David and Vivian Bouwman. The couple was killed in their home during a robbery. Their Cadillac was found burned in the city of Wyoming a day later.
Higgins was wanted on several felony warrants for separate crimes in Kentwood. During his previous court appearance in Chicago, investigators dropped resisting arrest charges to help speed the process of bringing him back to West Michigan.

wow I cant believe they keep pushing back his extradition back to michigan . Its so funny how he fakes things when he goes into a courtroom. It makes me mad that this has gone on this long with getting him back here.
