Muskegon Heights HomicideMUSKEGON HEIGHTS,Mich. — Myron Jackson, Jr. will face a Muskegon County judge Friday morning for violating his parole and obstructing an officer, but he could be looking at much worse as a person of interest in the February 16 shooting death of Quinton Miller.

Jackson, 21, is being held on $10,000 bond. Court records show he’s been charged with misdemeanor assault, possession of hydrocodene, and fleeing  authorities in the last 25 months in Muskegon County.

He turned himself into Muskegon Heights Police on Wednesday after being named a person of interest in Miller’s death.

Police declined to say why Jackson is a person of interest.

Miller, 19, was a former star athlete at Muskegon High School. He was found dead on the 2400 block of Sixth Street in Muskegon Heights early Saturday morning. He had been shot in the back once.

Jackson’s home address is in the 2600 block of that street.

Miller’s family tells FOX 17 that his funeral will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Angel Community Church at 446 Ada in Muskegon. A memorial service will be held at Muskegon High School from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. that evening.
