Arrest Made After Break-Ins At GR Businesses

GRPD cruiser nightGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Police have taken two people into custody following a string of break ins throughout the area.

The arrest happened around 2 a.m. on Monday on South Division. Police say an officer driving by noticed a man running from the Super Mercado. That officer caught up to the suspect and learned that Tax America had also been targeted, along with another business that has not been named yet.

Police found broken windows at all three businesses, but it is unclear whether or not all three were robbed.

One suspect has been taken to jail, and police were questioning another person.
