A West Michigan Man Wanted For Armed Robbery Killed In Shoot Out In Texas

daniel john myersELPASO, Tx —  48 -Year-Old Daniel John Myers from the Wayland area was involved in a car chase in El Paso Texas that led to an exchange of gun fire between three El Paso PD officers and one US Border Patrol Agent. Myers was shot and killed after a foot chase in the desert.

Back On January 29th Troopers responded to an armed robbery complaint of a 91 year old female in Barry County. Detectives and Troopers from Wayland  developed a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant for Daniel John Myers for two counts of armed robbery, habitual offender, and felony firearms.

 Detectives had been attempting to locate Myers over the past month and got information that he fled the area.
