GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — There’s something for everyone in the 2013 Meijer Gardens Outdoor Summer Concert Series.
The world-renowned gardens and sculpture park previewed the year’s entertainment lineup in a blog post on Wednesday:
- Montgomery Gentry, July 5: Country rockers Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry.
- David Byrne & St. Vincent, July 7: Byrne, of Talking Heads, is touring with Annie Erin Clark, known as St. Vincent, supporting their album Love This Giant.
- Steve Miller Band, July 18: It hardly needs to be said this group is a rock legend.
- Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers, Featuring Edie Brickell, July 29: Okay, this may need an explanation. The multi-talented comic/banjo player/author/playwright combines his finger-pickin’ with Edie Brickell’s vocals.
Gardens staff assembled a short Spotify playlist of the announced talent.
The full line-up for the season won’t be announced until April. Tickets will not go on sale to the public until May 11, but Meijer Gardens members will be able to buy beginning April 27.
