GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Emergency crews were called to a Grand Rapids home Friday after it was reported that an infant had consumed cocaine.
Neighbors tell FOX 17 that police and an ambulance were called to the 800 block of Franklin Street SE at about 1 p.m. They said the child was removed from the home after investigators were called to the scene.
The condition of the child was not known.
FOX 17 is working on to get the details on this case.

JG all Friday, will someone please explain to me why people like this exist? What in the hell kind of joy or empowerment can a grown man or woman get out of abusing an idy bidy baby. Sick SOB.

This story said nothing about a child being abused. From THIS story you have NO idea what is going on. Perhaps the caregiver had a heart attack, maybe it was a custody dispute. Maybe you should get all the facts before passing judgement.

If there are drugs in the home, especially cocaine, where a child can reach them, that is neglect. Neglect is a form of abuse.

Agree! There are all kinds of abuse. Mental, physical, verbal, neglect, emotional. So if a child is capable of consuming an illegal drug and could die, then that is abuse! So, I totally agree with you.

Totally agree with you Tabetha! Abuse comes in many different ways. Physical, neglect, verbal, emotionally, mental. So, if there are illegal drugs in a home where a child, or baby can ingest and cause harm or even death, that is abuse. And if your on cocaine your mental and physical state is not capable of having a child! Just sayin!
