Colon is one of the few small towns(less than 2,000 people) in the country that still has a thriving downtown with most all of the storefronts occupied. The loss of these businesses will be a huge loss for this community.

Yes Colon is one of the smaller towns with a thriving downtown. We had Shelby suffer the same fate no that long ago. It has taken some time for them to recuperate and it still isn't all back yet.. This is always a shame for a small town community but somehow people seem to come together for the greater good.
Thank Goodness !
