Car Of Missing Woman Spotted In New Mexico

HOLLAND, Mich. - A license plate matching the one belonging to Emelene VanDyke was spotted in New Mexico, according to the Holland Police Department.  On Sunday afternoon, an unmanned license plate reader (LPR) scanned the plates matching the new Hyundai Accent VanDyke reportedly purchased before she disappeared last month.

Police say the photos obtained by the LPR appear to show VanDyke driving the Hyundai Accent along US-70 near Alamagordo, NM.   Authorities in the region were told to keep their eyes open for the vehicle and VanDyke, so far, neither have been located.

VanDyke hasn’t been seen or heard from since Valentine’s Day.  The 36-year-old reportedly told friends she was going on a retreat, and even posted something about an “electronics free weekend” on her Facebook page.

Before her disappearance, VanDyke took a bunch of cash out of her bank account and bought a new car.    Friends tell FOX 17, this is totally out of character for her.

There's a lot of places people camp in New Mexico. But on a good note, at least her car has been spotted now!

Anyone think that maybe this is also related to the guy from Big Rapids who also disappeared at around the same time?

The incidents are closely related. Can't wait to hear the rest of their stories.

Does she know she's missing? I wonder if she realizes that this is costing a lot of people's time and money to search for her? Does she realize that you just don't do that to your family and friends, not to mention her children? Possibly some deep mental issues here?
Wouldn't it take no more than 10 seconds to leave someone a message as to here whereabouts and when she'll be home?

I believe it is related to the guy missing in Big Rapids. I wonder if they asked her about that. They were probably both staying at the hotel that her car was found at. I hope the police has considered this. I think this is a very possibility. If the police hasn't checked it out yet they should.

Good working progress has already show by law officers! In modern time happening a crime is totally unexpected and I don't when such type of criminal movement will stop happening. Thanks.
