3 Arrested in Kalamazoo Heroin Bust

Officers from the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team say 3 suspects were arrested for heroin distribution following a raid at a home in the 1300 block of North Burdick Street on Thursday afternoon.

Community tips led to officers securing a search warrant for the home.  During surveillance around 4:00 p.m., two subjects were seen leaving the residence for a suspected heroin delivery.  Those two suspects, both 19 year olds, were arrested outside the home.

A third suspect, a 32 year old man, was inside.  He attempted to run from officers,  making his way onto the roof.  He retreated back into the home and was taken into custody.

Heroin, packaging equipment and marijuana were confiscated at the scene.  All 3 suspects will face drug charges.  The 32 year old involved was currently on parole when the arrest took place, so he’ll face additional charges.

All 3 are being held at the Kalamazoo County Jail.
