WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — After a beautiful day Thursday with high temperatures close to 40, another batch of accumulating snow is on the way Friday and Friday night. A rain mix is possible Friday afternoon.
The image from FOX 17 Future Track shows a forecast of snow amounts by Saturday morning. It appears most areas will get an inch or two.
Snowfall continues to be below normal in Grand Rapids. As of Thursday, the total of 58.7 inches is 11 inches below normal. It’s a much different story in Muskegon, where 93.6 inches has fallen this season. This is five inches above normal.
After the snow ends Friday night, the weekend looks dry and cool. For the forecast, join us on FOX 17 News, or visit the weather page at http://www.fox17online.com/weather

It's very difficult to know how to prepare for a sudden snow storm, especially if you live in an older, historic home. It's not just good enough to cover the windows with heavy drapes as nearly half of all the house heat escapes through the walls. I live in a solid wall construction home and got really good relief from the cold by upgrading our <a href ="http://www.alsecco.co.uk/solid-wall-insulation/insulation-for-solid-walls.php">solid wall insulation. The option for interior wall insulation was not available, but the external wall insulation has worked out very well. Very happy now as our home is toasty even during the worst storms.
