Foreign Language Requirement Could Be Dropped for Students

Michigan lawmakers are considering several proposals in Lansing that could change whether students are required to learn a foreign language.

However, the Michigan Department of Education is against dropping the requirement.

FOX 17′s Christian Frank and Michele DeSelms sat down with Scott Korpak, assistant superintendent for instruction with Forest Hills Public schools and Jenny Frazier, head of the world language department at East Grand Rapids Public schools, to talk about the requirement.

    English should only be spoken and taught in AMERICA
