Why would a 79yr old Landlord commit homicide? I know what pushed him over the edge as I'm a Landlord. Landlord law has unique historical/political heritage. It represents the politics of the have and have nots. The law is maligned per politics of the majority whom motivated per corrupted viewpoints. Landlords are the perfect bad boy to beat up upon per popularity politics. It started back in English medieval times that history reports of Landlord exploiting the poor. Politicians learned to beat up on Landlord to endear them selves to the public. Modern day law has way to much of this heritage. Landlords suffer and exploited by the legal system whom serve only to empower the crooks. The law will make even good people flip into self righteous and angry tenants whom feel their owed free rent and no responsibility for damage. There is a psychological element much like criminals convince themselves they are the victim. This phenomena really cranks up if rental a Mom and Pop type business. Citizens expect corporations to be evil and powerful and settle without a fight yet get totally abscessed upon small businessmen and fight. They personally know the Landlord. Bad tenants will quickly dis the Landlord and think themselves superior. They think the Landlord an idiot and greatly exaggerate wrongdoings. It makes them feel superior. Its all downhill from here. Conversely, the vast majority whom have high credit rating need no law nor do the Landlord. The bad actors will search out Mom and Pop Landlords that don't do as good of a job screening as they can get away with more. Retires get walloped per the legal system. It a crime and totally putting small Landlords out of business. It's a shame because this business segment will offer the best rent deals to public. It used to be a great adjunct to retirement to own rental property. Not anymore, as the corporate world has won the fight and in the process of eliminating low cost competition. They work with government to put small business under. Regulations are good way to empower corporations whom can afford lawyer staff. Not so good for tenants…..but thats the politics.

He was angry, but why to disparage that he was an old man? Would it be better to be a angry young man? To my thinking if this guy lived for 79 years…well he must be somewhat normal. Meaning criminals usually commit to their vocation at a very young age. The tenant gutted or destroyed the home. My guess the Landlord went to court for help and was totally shocked at Landlord Tenant Law that set up legal snares to entrap (elder) Landlords whom are accustomed to old laws holding criminals accountable. If you destroyed utility equipment located on your premises; you would quickly lose your service without court order and you be held accountable. Utilities are a critical need for survival…right. I bet this Landlord guy was so PO'd at justice and the tenant he just felt…..why not. Let the state and taxpayers whom chose this system of justice pay the price. Let the state pay for my elder care…Alzheimer's etc. for the last few years.

He was a loving person. He had a heart of gold and would have done anything for anyone. The news does not tell you that he was going through the eviction process and the guy had until Monday to get out or that Conley recently had to go pay a bunch of money to the city for back taxes or they were going to take home because of back taxes that were not paid by the tenant. The holes in the walls throughout the place. I'm not saying that what my uncle did is right by no means. I do not know what happened that night, what type of altercation went that night, nor does anyone else. Words can not express what I feel for the family of Snyder. They have lost someone great to them and my family has now lost some one great to them. I have never been in this situation before and it is very hurtful to watch. I can't watch the news because I can't stand the thought of hearing the hateful things about someone that I care about so much.
