GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Latrice Maze’s family gets together every Sunday for a good meal and great company.

Her daughter Renea, 7, says cooking breakfast is her mother’s speciality.

“She’s good at cooking eggs, bacon, and pancakes,” she said Sunday.

“She’s always smiling,” Julius Jackson, Maze’s father, says. “You don’t know if anything’s going on with her because that’s the way she is. She keeps a smile going on.”

That smile wasn’t around this Sunday. The normal card-playing and fun conversation has been replaced by tears. No one has seen or heard from Latrice since March 19.

Her mother, Wanda Rose, was nearly inconsolable on Sunday.

“I miss her. I want her to come home,” she said through her tears. “Her family miss her, Her kids miss her. I can’t sleep. I can’t eat. I want my baby back. If anybody got her, please, please let her come home.”

“It’s not the same without her,” another family member said. “She’s supposed to be here having fun, eating like we do every Sunday, but she’s not here and it’s hurting our hearts and weighing heavy on our hearts.”

Maze is a mother of five. She was last seen near the corner of Division St. and Burton St. in Grand Rapids around noon on March 19 – wearing black slacks, white t-shirt, and a black, yellow, and green-striped scarf on her head.

Her family reported her missing after she didn’t pick up her daughter at school the following day.

Now the family wants answers. Most of all, they want Latrice back.

“We want her on the news,” one family member said. “We want her face out there every day until she comes home. Every day.”

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Latrice Maze can call the Grand Rapids Police Department at 616.456.3400 or Silent Observer at 616.774.2345.
