American Red Cross Training Students to Babysit

red cross sign.jpegGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — For kids looking to make some extra pocket money by babysitting, the American Red Cross is ready to help.

The organization is offering Babysitter’s Training courses for youth between the ages of 11 and 15.

The class includes lessons on basic child care for children and infants, basic health and safety for children, first aid and how to start a babysitting business.

Students will also learn about basic child behavior and leadership development.

Students are encouraged to pack snacks and bring a lunch.

The class is $85 and runs from April 1st until the 3rd at the Grand Rapids chapter building, located at 1050 Fuller Ave.
