Pet Expo Coming To Grand Rapids This Weekend

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — The 8th annual West Michigan Pet Expo will stop in Grand Rapids this weekend.

It’s at the Deltaplex Saturday and Sunday. There is animal entertainment, including a petting zoo, on-site adoption and pet-related vendors. You can also attend a seminar, including “Pet First Aid” or “Teaching Old Dogs New Tricks.”

Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for kids ages 12 and under, and the Deltaplex is located at 2500 Turner Avenue in Grand Rapids.

The topics for Saturday include:

  • 11 a.m.- Tony Hoard’s K-9 Crew (also at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.)
  • 11:45 a.m.- Wild World of Animals (also at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.)
  • 12:30 p.m.- Seminar by Dr. James Kelley on regenerative stem cell therapy (also at 6 p.m.)
  • 2:45 p.m.- Seminar by Dianna Walker of the McPhail Medical Intuitive & Animal Communication on healing animals with Bowen Therapy of Australia (also at 4 p.m.)
  • 3:15 p.m.- Seminar by Marie Hopfensperger, DVM, on teaching old dogs new tricks

The topics for Sunday include:

  •  11 a.m.- Seminar by MI Veterinary Specialists on pet first aid and CPR
  • 11:30 a.m.- Tony Hoard’s K-9 Crew (also at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.)
  • 12:15 p.m.- Wild World of Animals (also at 3 p.m.)
  • 1 p.m.- Seminar by Dr. Sarah K. Abood on things every pet owner needs to know about diet and exercise
