Michigan Winter Snow Totals

MICHIGAN – (FOX 17) –With spring weather upon us, I decided to take a look at some of the winter snowfall totals from across the state.

In Grand Rapids, we have 66.0″. This is 8.9″ below the normal amount of 74.9″. Muskegon ended up just shy of 100″ at 98.6″. This amount is 4.9″ above normal. Here are some other totals across the rest of Michigan:

  • Lansing: 30.2″, 20.8″ below normal.
  • Detroit: 47.7, 5.2″ above normal.
  • Flint: 43.8″, 3.5″ below normal.
  • Alpena: 48.4″, 35.4″ below normal.

In the Upper Peninsula, Marquette has received 210.2″ of snow this winter. This is about 9.5 inches above normal. There is still a snow cover of 30″. In Sault St. Marie, the total of 119.9″ is 34.4″ above normal. The snow depth there is three inches.
