More Rain On The Way

WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — A weak front draped over the midwest will provide the focus for some showers and thunderstorms over the next few days, though any additional flooding is not expected.

This image from our in-house computer model shows the forecast rainfall amounts overnight. As you can see, very little rain is expected. Even with the chance of rain lingering for the rest of the week, this does not appear to be a similar setup to a couple of weeks ago when heavy rain fell.

Most area rivers have fallen below flood stage from the record flooding that occurred. The only exception is the Grand River at Comstock Park. The current level is 12.4 feet and is expected to drop below the flood stage of 12.0 feet later Monday night.
