Car Burst Into Flames After Crash

ALPINE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A car crashed in Kent County and burst into flames.

The accident happened off Fruitridge Avenue NW near 9 mile and caused the roads to shut down in order to clean the scene.

Fire was dispatched to the scene, but the driver was reportedly not in the vehicle when the car caught on fire.

According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office, the driver was injured and was transported to a local hospital.

Police are still investigating the scene and the roads are now re-opened.
