School Playground Set on Fire in Quincy

COLDWATER, Mich – The Michigan State Police Coldwater Post is looking for tips after a school playground was set on fire over the Memorial Day weekend, causing tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage.

Investigators were called to Jennings Elementary School in the village of Quincy on Sunday, May 26th.

The majority of the playground structures were consumed by the fire.  There is also significant damage to the north side of the building.

Currently there are no suspects tied to this arson investigation.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Branch County Central Dispatch Center (517) 278-3091.  Tipsters may also contact the Michigan Arson Tip line at 1-800-44-ARSON.
