The Search For Jessica Heeringa- 4 Weeks LaterNORTON SHORES, Mich. – Chief Daniel Shaw of the Norton Shores Police Department says the task force staffing in the search for Jessica Heeringa has been reduced.

Investigators and supervisors from the Norton Shores Police Department and Michigan State Police, along with support from the Michigan Intelligence Information Center, will continue to work the case.

The reduction in staff is directly related to the lack of high priority tips police are receiving from the public. Chief Shaw says if there’s an increase in tips or if additional investigators are needed, a request will be made at that time.

Jessica Heeringa, 25, went missing around 11:15 p.m. on April 26, as she was finishing her shift at the Exxon Mobil gas station on E. Sternberg Road.

Authorities have been looking for a silver minivan, possibly a Chrysler Town & Country, that could be involved.
