WEST MICHIGAN – So here it is June and we’re still talking about frost! What’s up with that?

Since a cold front swept across the Great Lakes late Saturday/early Sunday the air mass certainly has gotten cooler and is in the process of getting drier too. Temps through most of Sunday held in the 50s with a brisk wind from the northwest.

Skies will clear, drier air will sink in to Michigan, and winds will go light. That’s a great recipe for cold overnight temperatures. In fact, the National Weather Service has hoisted FROST ADVISORIES for our northern counties overnight of Oceana, Newaygo, and Mecosta. Look for low temps in some of those locations to drop in the 30s with some frost possible.

Most other locations and metro areas will stop around 40 or better. High temps on Monday will only make the mid/upper 60s. Our next rain chance comes in on Wednesday as a system slowly approaches from the west.

While widespread frost is not expected Tuesday morning, most locations will fall in to the low/mid 40s for morning lows. Get the complete forecast at www.fox17online.com/weather.
