060213LAKEMICHIGAN(WEST MICHIGAN) — Gusty winds today that will blow almost parallel to the beach  and create a rip current danger to West Michigan beaches. The rip current danger runs from St. Joseph to Manistee. Gusty winds will also create 3 to 5 foot waves which will batter the lake shore.

Rain showers this morning will start to come to an end as cooler, drier air is filtered into West Michigan. Skies will gradually clear through the afternoon but temperatures will be between five and ten degrees cooler in the afternoon. Clear skies and calming winds Sunday night will lead to falling temperatures overnight. Temperatures will likely fall enough that some areas of patchy fog could form along and north of I-96 by Monday morning.

Sunny skies will lead to a pleasant start to the work week, as temperatures warm in the afternoons into the upper 60’s and low 70’s. Rain chances hold off until midweek when more unsettled weather prevails at the end of the week.
